Planted the apple tree last winter. Just noticed the little bitty apples!

Apples and hummers....all sorts of spring happenings. Those sneaky little apple blossoms eluded your ever vigilant eye? Good pics of the hummer. If you have extra hummers could you send some this way?

Jerry... I don't know how I missed the apples. There are 5 or 6 of them all about the same size. Guess I wasn't expecting any this early.
And the hummer... well... there's no mistaking or ignoring that sound of them whizzing by you.
Sure glad I put out the feeder last week.
And if I could convince them to head over to your place, I surely would! :stew2:

I hung out my feeder on Thursday but I haven't seen any hummingbirds yet. You could send one this way and maybe the others would get the idea.
I don't have an apple tree but my peach trees have little peaches. dr says the branches are too small to support all those peaches so we'll have to pick them off one of these days.

Dooley... we have 3 different kinds of peach trees... and they are all still at the flowering stage. I can't wait to grab a big juicy peach off the branch and devour it right on the spot!

What lovely pics . . . Our apple trees have not bloomed yet. What kind of apple tree do you have? I guess we will fill our feeder next week. I love those little birds, but they sure get agressive with each other when it comes to fighting over the feeder! Thank You for sharing your blessings!

No apples here, and no hummers yet either. I have been looking at the hummingbird migration map, they've been spotted on the TN/AL state line. Won't be long.

SongofJoy... the one we have is a 2-in-1 grafted tree. Half is Dorsett Golden and the other is Ein Shemer. They both are yellows.
Was just reading up on how to care for it. You're supposed to not let it fruit until year three so the energy is spent on root production. I'll have to check, but I think since mine is in a HUGE container, the roots should be in pretty good shape. Well, at least good enough to allow a few fruit to ripen. :-D
