So I was sitting down to eat this delicious meal today... Mutton rice ( photo / image / picture from Frank's Garden ) ...and something caught my eye on the table in front. It was two new, and extremely hungry "customers". Two "customers" awaiting their dinner ( photo / image / picture from Frank's Garden ) I overheard a bit of their conversation. It went something like "the service is a bit slow around here", or something to that effect. Engaged in a conversation ( photo / image / picture from Frank's Garden ) Finally, one of the "customers" just stood up on their chair and started singing for his supper. It was quite embarrassing! Getting impatient for food ( photo / image / picture from Frank's Garden ) I left soon after, so I didn't see what happened next. Probably a few feathers went flying!
Love the pictures, Frank, and the narrative makes it even more enjoyable! When we were vacationing in the BVI, we went to an inside/outside restaurant that had a parrot named Joanne. One learned to eat one's dinner with an arm wrapped around the plate and one eye on Joanne! She was a notorious food thief, and even if you offered her a part of your serving, she'd eat that and then try to steal some more!
Well there'll be no wastage at that restaurant that's for sure!! Hope they enjoyed the remains of your meal Frank.
Frank, your meal looks delicious! You seem to attract birds, at the restaurant, on your windowsill...
HA! Cute! When I went on a cruise last year, when we were docked and eating dinner, you didnt want to eat outside because there were seagulls just waiting for their chance! Little thieves... (Found a better pic!) ( photo / image / picture from TheBip's Garden )
Haha, glad you liked those, Frank. I ate alot of them when I was in Malaysia. In fact when I was staying at Awi's Yellowhouse in K. Terengganu I had one a day, as there was a chap that brought them and other things on a little bike with a box on it. He sold to the villagers, but also stopped by the little group of huts built over the river---my "home" for a number of weeks.
Hmmmm...I don't remember, but I have a foto of him. I say, "foto", but actually it's a slide. If I manage to get the slides of Malaysia digitalized this winter, I'll post it to you. I can remember that I knew what time he would appear and I was there waiting for him, so, he did not have to ring or blow. I didn't just buy murtabaks from him, sometimes he had bread and rolls.
