Two of a kind?

    No, it's one of two kinds. They were both sitting up in the tree hollering at me to go away. The one is the ladderback woodpecker and the other is the male cardinal.

    This next picture is some sort of thrasher, I think. You can only see the outline. It was sitting on the very tiptop branch of the tree and it was a bit far away and the sun was wrong.

    It looks as though your birds get as impatient as mine do Dooley. Some of the ones that visit my garden will actually peck at the patio doors if I don't feed them by a certain time.

    Your woodpecker and cardinal are very red, so they're sort of two of a kind. :D

    Eileen, mother was trained by a great tit who used to knock on her kitchen window if breakfast was late. :D
