Two plants, one red, one yellow, ruffled blooms

    could anyone tell me what this flower might be Please Please!!! I really liked it this summer but for the life of me I can't think of the name of it.

    Not certain, but the flowers look like Celosia.

    I agree with Kay...I am guessing the dwarf Celosia cristata, which comes in several colours.

    The very first time that I saw a Celosia was in the marvelous Generalife gardens (part of the Alhambra complex) in Granada, Spain. They were the tall ones and were bright red. I was amazed--they were slender and not ball-shaped like these.

    Their more common name is Cockscomb Margie. They're hardy plants, despite their velvety blossoms.

    Yep... cockscomb. I never saw a yellow that lovely though!
