Are those really wild pheasants in your yard? Amazing!

We don't have any thing like that around here. The urban coyotes would have them for dinner probably.

Aren't male pheasants really handsome birds? We have lots of them around here and they certainly catch the eye with their colourful plumage.

One of our neighbors used to hatch pheasants in an incubator and then release them into the wild once they were about 6 mo. old. So now we have them all over the place.

Great pic Capt! I had one show up in my backyard a few years back. It was such a surprise! I had to do a double take to be sure of what I was seeing! We don't live too far from city limit/ farmland, but it's unusual for them to be in our yards! I did take a picture but it is hard to really see what it is.
    Do you see them often?

I love them. They are very handsome and entertaining to watch. We had several in the field behind our old house. I didn't realize I missed them until I saw your photo :(

My little guy lost his female. I may find him a few new ones or he will just be allowed to live with his chickens. He loves them.
