Check the drought status for your part of the U.S.

My part of the country just doesn't have much of a chance. Last weekend our drought status was raised to Extreme...next is Exceptional unless we get a reasonable amount of rain soon, which doesn't appear to be likely.

Anyone know of a good, effective chant to say while doing a rain dance in the backyard, under the full moon....not gonna be nekked, nope, not a chance.

Well gee, Toni, if you aren't willing to go all the way for a rain chant, the liklihood of getting a nice downpour is slim.
Personally, I'd paint myself blue and hop around on one foot to get a good rain. If that doesn't scare the rain gods, nothing would!

Well, there is more than a 50 percent chance we'll get rain on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The percentage is 70 percent for Friday. And I know why! It's because our son and daughter-in-law are coming on Friday and leaving early on Tuesday morning. Since we live on a road that's a mixture of dirt and gravel, rain makes travel more difficult. Hence, if we have visitors coming it will rain.

Invite folks over to your house then Toni, do a rain dance and plan a day working in the garden. Surely all three will ensure you'll get rain. We just have to THINK of doing something outdoors and the sky clouds over and the rain comes down. Hey - maybe you should move to Britain!!

OK, here is how I (very strongly) believe the universe actually works. Everything (and everyone too) is designed to be an obstruction to us since the very start! The universe I guess really wants us to suffer, or to somehow see to it that at least our efforts go straight to waste. So if you really want something, you'll never ever get, until you stop wanting it - At which point you'll instantly get it! :smt120

So my advice is not doing a rain dance - But rather park the car under the sun, wash it good, and than polish/wax it with the best quality of car care products you have at your disposal. Now if you'll really put all your heart into this, then suddenly you'll notice dark clouds approaching (to ruin your efforts on the car)... :D

That anyhow is the way I think this universe is run - Just try it once, you'll see it work! :stew1: Yes, I'm talking from experience... :smt044
