While we where on a short trip to upper northern Wis. to see Ashland and Bayfield. We went to The Bayfield Apple Orchard. They have a Barn that you could order from Sears during the 1900-1930. It came numbered and you put it together on site. Here is pic of that neat barn. Neat Barn ordered from Sears. ( photo / image / picture from Tooty2shoes's Garden ) On the property they had a machine that I got a real kick out of. Literally! Your turn. ( photo / image / picture from Tooty2shoes's Garden ) Step right up. ( photo / image / picture from Tooty2shoes's Garden ) Just to funny. ( photo / image / picture from Tooty2shoes's Garden ) It had a list of the cost of using it and 6 rules to follow for Kicking Ones self. You can read them on my blog. But rule one was--DO NOT stand facing the shoes. Man that would really hurt. We got quite a laugh out of seeing it. There are those days when one would like to Kick-Ones self. Now we know how to do it.
We lived in Kenosha, Wisconsin for many, many years. They had some houses there that were ordered from Sears like the barn. They were like five or six hundred dollars and people that that was really expensive. You would love one at that price now. dooley
Dooley that is for sure. I do believe Wis. has a large majority of Sears pre-built homes. Jerry those older catalogs are really neat to look at. Do an online search for them as you can see some of what was in those catalogs.
Wow that is some barn,..i could live in that and be happy,..on my own as well,..lol,..love that kicking machine,..i would have used it often in the past.
Philip it is a really neat barn. Yes I could see one living in it. When one goes threw the center door to part of the loft area. The guy has baseball caps of every sort and variety. There must have been 200 hundred or more hanging on every wall and even the ceiling. In the lower half they have their wine shop set up. Need I say more. We will enjoy the bottle of Blackberry Farm House Cider wine we bought this winter.
KK I to would love to have a barn like that. Pole buildings just do not have the same character as a wood barn.
