Because of the muggy, sometimes rainy weather this week I haven't been out in the yard so the next best thing to putting plants in the ground is buying plants to put in the ground. Two Artemisia Silver Mound, 2 Lamiastrum Herman's Pride, 2 Moss Rose, 2 Veronica Rosea, 1 Cardinal Flower, and 3 Summer Blues Delphinium Several Coleus and 3 Viola labradorica Sweet Violet And the prize of my shopping trips is the Dragon Wing Red Begonia for next to Petrov the floating Dragon. It's huge so I am going to break off some pieces to root new plants.
Yummy, you've got yourself some lovely plants there! Congratulations, well done. Will all those live outside all year? We have coleus and begonia for indoors or for annual plants outside. We've got Artemisia outside, they do fairly well here most of the time. Those violets look interesting, please remember to post when they bloom, won't you?
Oh what great plants Toni. Petrov is going to love being surrounded by that fantastic Dragon Wing Begonia. I can hardly wait to see them all planted up!! :-D
Once again, a job well done. Your dragon will love the begonia beside it. One thing though, please let me know how it goes for you when you break pieces off and start new plants from your begonia. I've tried this with no luck. Please post picts.
Glad you all like my new 'babies' I can hardly wait until tomorrow morning when I can start putting them in their new homes. Droopy, the Coleus and the Begonia will be iffy outside in the winter but I am hoping to make more of the Begonia and overwinter them in the bloom house for next year. All the others are supposed to be perennial.
Yes, yes..and YES! Atta girl, Toni--That was a nice haul. You've got lots of nice-looking little jewels there. You'll be sure and send fotos of them in their place, won't you? If that begonia does wind up outside--will it be hanging or in a flower box....or will it go into the ground somewhere? You are goingto be very happy with these, aren't you?
Fantastic new plants Toni! I haven't had a good plant shopping spree yet-I think that will happen this weekend. I'm really liking the way your blue Delphinium blooms and that red foliage look together
