Today I dug out some of my aspidistra/cast iron plant which was making a takeover bid for my cactus corner and found some flowers. They are at ground level and not often noticed, I thought someone might be interested. No perfume and quite a hard flower to the touch, I am not the best photographer either!

Until I saw your photographs I can honestly say that I didn't think aspidistra/cast iron plants had flowers as I've never seen them. You learn something new every day. :stew2:

Yes Eileen I felt the same a couple of years ago when I was shown them, I hope those who grow the plant go out and look under the leaves, they might find they have some of their own!It is hot and humid here right now, I dont know if weather conditions encourage flowering.

I will be transplanting several Cast Iron plants in the next day or two from a spot that is way less shady than last year after we had some trees trimmed back last fall. Hope I find some blooms too.
