I was so excited when I was perusing a resale shop and came across this very neat and unusual wasp trap. The glass has a hob nail pattern on it and It stands about 11" tall. The copper top comes off so you can fill the trap. You can hang it or place in on a table as it has little feet it stands on so the wasps can still crawl in.
I see from the one pic I trapped a spider. Poor thing. I think I will bring it in and put a candle in it instead.

I would have picked that up too... even if it wasn't a wasp trap... I can see it just being used as a candle lantern.

I have one of these. I use it for fruit flies. I just add a little dishsoap to some apple cider vinegar and a little water. It works well.

i did not know I should be trapping wasps. Now fruit flies....hmmmm.... they can be a pesky little lot at times. They always know when the fruit arrives.

Jerry, these are perfect if you are having a picnic and the wasps are hanging out with you. Other than that I wouldn't use this for wasps. Only fruit flies.

Wasps eat many of the bad critters that invade the garden. They don`t bother me so send them my way.

We have somewhat similar ones here...they are expensive. I just make my own out of plastic drink bottles.

Having said that, I would really like to have a couple of those glass beauties.

It is very nice looking and if I would of seen one like it, I would of had it. I only use mine when they get really pesty. It seems like when the weather is the warmest that is when they get to be a nuisance.
