Pablo is now 5 days old, and while I would have liked some other choice for a name, Pablo seems to be where things are headed. He started life rather precariously, during his second day he seemed to be ill. Very lethargic, looking at his stomach not eating, no interest in leaving his stall. After a call to the vet, he and mom were loaded into a trailer, and transported the 50 miles to the vets hospital. Blood tests, stool tests, examinations, and several day later, no one seems to know what may have been wrong. He is back to being the spunky little colt that he should be. Both mom and colt are back in the barn and doing well. He and mom were turned loose in the indoor ring, and mom gave him a real work out. They were running, bucking, jumping and kicking, and even went over a jump. He worked up a real sweat. There's a sigh of relief.
How about working his name around Paulo...it is Portuguese for Paul. He is a great looking little guy, I love the coloring of he and his Mom. Sure hope he continues to grow strong.
Looks like little Pablo is doing very well Tom. A scare like that is not nice, it will make him all the more special to you now I'm sure. I'm sure the name Pablo will grow on you
