Update on the cabbage, kale, and kohlrabi.......

    that I planted last fall. I have 3 cabbages, 3 kale, and a dozen kohlrabi still alive and growing! the cabbage is just starting to head up. Hope it makes is soon, the missus wants the planter for salad greens, carrots, radish's and the like.

    Great news (not that your wife wants the space, but great news that your cabbage, kohlrabi, and kale did so well)!
    We don't grow any of those cool weather crops, but your success has made me re-think our fall plantings.

    You planted the vegetables last fall? Hmm, you got me thinking. I'm a zone or 2 colder than you are but I do have an unheated greenhouse I could use. I have to do some checking to see what I could grow, if anything.

    2ofus, mind you that we had a mild winter here. Only 8-10 days of sub-zero weather. Most of the time the temps hovered around freezing, and no appreciable snow. I covered the plants with floating row cover, that is all.

    Hmm. Probably wouldn't work for me then with out some form of heat. :(
