Nags Head fishing pier and restaurant was right next door. We ate breakfast there every day. Homemade biscuits, sausage gravy, chipped beef, corn beef hash pancakes etc. We waddled home. Very handy Donna having such a good restaurant next door. No dirty dishes to wash when you're finished appeals to me. I would have enjoyed walking along the shoreline breathing in all that fresh air. Love the shot of the greater, red winged paraglider - a rare bird around these parts.
Looks like a great place to vacation. Eating is one thing we love to do also. On vacation there are no calories in the food.
Being close to the ocean is actually the most healthy place to be! Not only do you get clean and fresh air, but on clear nights you can also do some astronomy too (with very few city lights ruining your view)! So both physically and mentally also, living at the beach is actually very healthy! I too start to feel very lethargic the more inland I go... Which is why I always quickly return to my home, unless I'm somewhere else that's on the coastline.
You definitely picked a beautiful place to go and a beautiful vacation home also. I'm glad that you had such a wonderful time.
