Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea originated in France. The flowers begin as creamy vanilla in midsummer. They change to pink and finally to strawberry-red. http://www.pinterest.com/pin/525021269053073869 http://www.pinterest.com/pin/336855247099167261

Well they do from the distance but they are beautiful...i'll be knocking at your door and adding shoots where new plants need to go but there is one I liked of sjoerds also and apparently you can get them scented also.
Well you add some beautiful pic's of plants know about them but this year where they need replacing I want plants that will just come back yearly but also flourish in a steady growth.
Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea was named top plant by the American Nursery and Landscape Association in 2010.
Once established, VS also produces some very large and very impressive blooms! Of course, that can be bad too. After a few thunderstorms have passed by, the stems tend to flop due to the "added weight" of the blooms. There is also a Strawberry Sundae "version" of VS that is slightly more compact.
