I know it is unlikely but I have to ask.

Is there a veggie other than tomatoes you can grow indoors? I really like any type of pickling cucumber and I would really like to grow some indoors if it is possible.

Is it possible without a greenhouse or other really fancy setup or am I just gonna have to wait until spring? Lighting is easy enough, I have bulbs for that but sunshine is scarce this time of year here.

I think some things will grow with a grow lite. I put up a clip on one on my wicker shelf for gloomy days for my plants. I would think you could grow them with a warm room and grow lite. Some people use heating mats to help germinate there seeds too I have read.
Dont think it would hurt to try it.

You could try the grow lite to experiment with your idea, but vegies need at least 6 hours of full sun and warm temps to produce a crop so it may not work without a proper greenhouse set up.

That's what I figured. Had to ask before I did all the work to set it up and got frustrated. Might try once I have my own house but not in a rental.
