Venus fly trap in bloom

    Canada... Its a dry cold.
    Heres a flower I've never seen before. When you see Venus fly traps on TV they always show you the mouths eating stuff. I actually didn't know they HAD flowers, but anyway heres a flower that opened on mine this morning.

    I have never seen a flower on a Venus Fly Trap. It's always nice when your plants surprise you.

    I've only once had a flower on a Venus Flytrap. They are pretty little things aren't they? :stew1:

    Those are great photos. Did you know that the Venus Fly Trap sends up it's flower so high above the traps so that the flies and other insects wont get trapped in them while pollinating the flowers. :D
