Well i was really surprised yesterday to find i had 6 Verbascium in my garden,..i had Verbascium in another garden some 10 years ago,..but never in my present garden,..i thought they were Foxglove as they were in among the Foxgloves,..but the leaves were further apart on the stem and that's about the only difference,..but what a nice surprise.

They were growing to the right of the Foxgloves.

I like those Verbascum's. I have a couple growing in my garden at the moment--they too blow in from time to time. I have to remove them completely or else they will seed-out a bit too aggressively for me in my small space.

They look so nice though. BTW--the other shots of your garden and its flowering plants look so nice...especially the Digitalis--you've got oodles, don't you?

Your garden is so beautiful. I have tried foxglove but with no success. And I love the yellow verbascium - I had one once about 10 years ago at the old house. It died out before we moved and I have never gotten another.

Well color me green with envy... again! :D
You have volunteer plants growing that most folks only dream of having... let alone thriving on their own.

You've got a very pretty garden so it's not strange that the Verbascum want to come and live with you. :D Everything looks so lush and colourful. We've also got some verbascum, they're the huge kind that can grow to over two meters. I don't know where they came from but I'm glad they did. :D

    Hi Cheryl,
don't you just love volunteer plants that are likable!,..i wonder how many volunteer plants get pulled up because they don't resemble what should be growing in a certain area,..a great many i suspect.

    Hi Droopy,
oh it would be an extra bonus if my Verbascium were the height of yours!,..two meters,..yes please!.
