I had camera in hand going to take a picture of a flower when I saw something moving along the ground in front of me. So, down on my knees I went and look what I found. The picture makes him look big but he wasn't, He is maybe half an inch long and quarter or an inch wide. He was giving little hops but not getting any where very fast. I finally lost him in the grass when I stopped to look to see if I got a picture of him. When I looked back I couldn't find him. He may have decided to quit hopping and sit still.
Thanks, Toni! I will do that as soon as I have a spare minute. I think this day is about to come to and end and I still have a few things to do before I give up and go to bed. dooley
Well, I am impressed that you could get such a good shot of something so tiny and a moving target at that! I like frogs.
Great piccie Dooley. I think your little visitor may be a toad of some kind. Isn't it grand when you find something unexpected in your garden?
Great shot....I enjoy seeing them in my yard. I just wish everyone would cut back on chemicals and let nature recover...we are using corn gluten on our lawn..it sure makes it green but doesn't do much for the weeds. But we are in a windy area with a lot of fields and weeds so it is hard to judge.
What a cute little guy. Amazing that you saw him at all. Were you able to identify him on that link that Toni sent?
Definitely a cute frog! I love frogs too. Wondering if one of these can live inside a house? Not quite sure what food they need.
