Viola I think?

    Those are beautiful in mass like that and yes they are Viola cornuta (Violaceae) Johnny-Jump-Up

    Them look like purple pansys to me, instead of the violas.

    Actually we are both correct as Pansies are a hybrid of Violas. I never knew that before I started checking it out.

    You ought to see them in person.
    Really a deep purple and look like velvet.

    I love Johnny-Jump-Ups! They grow between my pavers if the dogs don't stamp them out. Yours are the color that I love the most that deep purple all over. Some of mine also have the yellow centers. A perfect little miniature!

    Those are so pretty. They're grown as annuals here, and popular in gardens and grave yards since they need so little care to look good.

    Hey that gives me an idea.

    Put them on graves .. I have 6 to take care of ..
    Only allowed to plant on 2.

    I made up one and need one more..
