We got about 2 inches of new snow overnight. I went out a while ago and shoveled off the front deck and brought in firewood. I also fed the birds and sprinked some on the ground for the bigger birds. The sun came out and melted some of the snow that was on the rail. These 2 Turtle Doves landed on the rail and were drinking the melted snow.

Looks like they've had an argument, wonder what it was over? Thanks for posting Capt.

I guess the doves were glad they found a bit of water on your rail. They're pretty birds.

Great picture Capt! I have many Doves here too but they are so skiddish that I'm not able to get a good photo.

We have vertical blinds and I took it through the blinds and window. Otherwise they would have been gone. Plus I didn't want to go out in the cold!

Pretty birds, Capt. We have Mourning Doves here in NC. Are they the same?

Should be. I think all the doves east of the Mississippi are the same. Out west they are different.
