One of the diminuative plants growing in a forest I once lived in was Listera australis. It was a terrestial orchid, and if you found one-don't dare look away, as it would take 5 minutes to find it again. Had a thought. Maybe you would know. Can mosses be established (transplanted) into a habitat, such as at Tabula Rasa? I remember seeing a website that sold moss for that purpose, but never heard from anyone who has actually done it, with success.
So many people walk through woodlands and see nothing but trees. I'm glad you're not one of them Kildale. :-D Many thanks for all your wonderful photographs.
The mosses and fungi are all so different and some so similar I can't see the difference between them. thanks for sharing and having them labeled.
That Indian Pipe is really something! Thanks for labeling everything!! I've walked through the woods my entire life calling it all moss
Thank you all for Walking in the Woods. So pleased that you enjoyed it. Will have to put a few birds together next.
