I always go out on my porch first thing in the morning to see if I have
any new blooms .I didn't see any and turned to go in the house looked down by the house in my bed and low and behold I found my Walking Iris that Cajonbelle sent me are blooming .I love it .It blooms didn't last near long enough for me.Its a winner in my book.

It's lovely, and very unusual to my eyes. I've never seen anything looking like that around here. :D

Glenda your iris is gorgeous. I'm sure it would win a gold at the Chelsea flower show - especially if was a judge.

I have a similar iris, and it's forming buds...won't be long now! My peonies are loaded with buds and I brought in my first bouquet of lilacs. Yeah, spring!

Thank you ,Its bloom comes out on the leaves. They make the bud really fast and the blooms are small and only last a day.The buds makes the leaf heavy so they have to have something to climb on.

What an unusual iris, I've never seen one like that before. It's quite beautiful. I love flowers/plants that are different. Thanks for sharing. Great colors on it.

Those things fascinate me!! I remember Cajonbelle talking about them before and I looked them up on ebay :D Do you think they would work as a houseplant? Our growing season is sooooooo short I don't know if they would have enough time outdoors to do their thing :stew2:
