Hi everyone! I am so excited to have found this forum. My husband and I started a garden last year...unfortunately it didn't do too well but here we are again on the brink of a new planting season and we thought we'd seek some help and support!

We are trying as much as possible to become less reliant on stores for our produce as well as supporting non-gmo and organic seeds!

I just started some seedlings indoors about a week ago...so far it's good. A lot better than last year.

Well I look foward to this adventure with all of you. Thanks for including me! :-D

Hi there, welcome to GardenStew from north Texas. Ohhhh, new gardeners, new garden...any chance we can see a photo of the new garden site? I know there probably isn't anything growing there but we love to watch gardens progress from the very beginning.....and we are a nosey bunch. ;)

Welcome from Texas, just a little south of Toni, well about 100 miles south of Toni. I've started digging and digging and digging my garden. Any help I can give I will surely give. How far are you from the ocean? Does it affect your weather...like the gulf affects ours? You may be able to grow some early things like I do.

Another welcome from Texas--central Texas this time. Gardening is so much fun, and so rewarding, and so much better for you to have your own produce. Can you tell I like to garden?
Please post any questions or comments you have, pictures if you can, and we'll all chime in and help in any way we can.

I am not very close to the ocean...about 30 miles inland. We have much warmer temperatures than the coast. Things have been pretty warm up until today. We have had a mild winter...looking to plant soon if this cold wave doesn't stick around.
