We are down 3 inches of rain since June 1st. It showered this weekend, but it was very spotty. In 2 days of showers, I got almost 1/4 inch of rain. Some trees are starting to change the color of their leves and others are just dropping them. I have a popular at the end of the driveway that has lost almost all of it's leaves. The next prediction for rain is Wed. and only a 50% chance. I have given up on my maters. Giving them 1/2 gao of water a day and still they wouldn't grow. But had blossom end rot!

Isn't it terrible.. We had a little rain yesterday and we were so happy we ran around the house like nutty children.

We had 1" about a week ago, and an 1/8" last night. Jut enough to keep the grass growing (moan :( ) and the garden green. I'm grateful for the rain, and I hope it keeps up. Rain in July in Texas is as rare as hens' teeth!

Wish I could send y'all some of mine. Over 11 inches in one week! Areas NW of Houston flooded... I'm sure they would love to send some out to anyone in need.
I think that pattern we've been in is breaking up. We only have slight rain chances (20-30%) for next week.

And the rain that Cheryl has been getting has been confined to the lower south-southeast portion of Texas. There have been some areas around here that got 1+ inches the last few days but my yard got 3/8ths inch last week and 1/4th inch yesterday.
And it all did very little to refill my rain barrels.

We've been getting rain every day but not as much as Cheryl. We probably got 3 inches this past week. I should go add it up. I know we got .69 inches on Saturday and .65 inches yesterday and we had .74 inches one day, maybe Thursday and then a little dab on other days. It comes in waves. Yesterday, we hung up the same clothes four times before they finally got dry. dr is washing some more today. He says squeezing those spring clothespins is good for your fingers. It gives you a strong grip.

Last year this time we were on water restrictions and I just gave up on my garden. The past couple of months we have had quite a bit of rain. My flowers were singing and dancing when I got home from work the other day.......gonna have to start charging the neighbors for the show.

We are down 7 inches in Iowa County. I was shocked water bill only went up $4.But when you walk across lawn-crunch.Burn ban in many counties around me.Will water again in am-got 100* today. And windy wash on line-dried in regular time. Been letting soaking hose around tree that shades flower bed and house. And put more mulch around it.

We are way down on rainfall in Ontario as well. On Sunday, some area's got up to 88mm of rain, while others got nothing. I was in the area that got nothing. Fire bans are in effect and I noticed that the corn is starting to shrivel in the fields. It has also been very HOT and many of the trees are dropping leaves.

one things I was told by a guy who put in foundations. To water around house. Even if you have to use gray water. Cement and mortar can start to crack in droughts.
