Last week I did a painting job my husband planned to do, didn't want to do, and was dreading. As a thank-you he brought me 200 lbs. of composted cow manure. That man knows the way to a girl's heart! And I mean it!!!

Now that's a great present! Better than any old toaster or vacuum cleaner! :D

That is a good present....think I will have to send a link to this topic to Randy as a hint for Christmas ;)

I had to laugh though when thinking about how many women I know who would consider that gift a cause for divorce.

I'd love that gift too! But I do know many friends that wouldn't be too impressed to get manure as a gift!

Congratulations on having found a man who really attends to your needs. I feel fairly alone when I ask for wheelbarrows, edging stones and sand for Christmas or birthdays. :D I'm not alone!

I think the topic title should be renamed to "Way to a gardener's heart" :)

Y'all are right--my husband is special and very tuned in to what makes me happy!
Frank, all gardeners would like 200 lbs. of manure. Only somewomen would.
Now I'm looking around for another little "to do" so I can get that special shrub at the local nursery!

I'd much rather paint than haul 200lbs of composted cow manure. You got a good deal!
