Nicky for short. He is a quirky little kid, even though he is 11 1/2 and would just roll his eyes at the word quirky. We 'see' him in so many of the cute commercials...an old one where the three young boys meet up on the first day of school and do a funky dance down the hall, the boy sitting in the lunch room with the 3D glasses on and no one will sit with him then he sees a little girl with a pink pair on. Those are just so 'Nicky' to us. Randy just sent me this link to another one that is absolutely Nicky. Maybe some of you have a child or grandchild you 'see' in this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R55e-uHQna0
I found the video online with a comment from the person that posted it. It reminded him of his son's 5th birthday. He and his wife hosted the Star Wars themed party at their house, and his wife made Darth Vader capes for all the kids. At one point he told them that it was time to open presents, but they'd have to use their Jedi Mind Powers to turn off the music first. They had Star Wars music playing on the stereo. The one with the remote. He said it was really fun watching a group of 5 year olds concentrating, waving their hands, and doing their best Obi-Wan impressions. It was also fun when he hit the pause on the stereo. They were all convinced they'd turned off the music. He also had them turn it on after the presents were open. Later, the party ended and all the kids went home. Shortly after that his phone started ringing and he had to explain to the other parents why their kids were standing around in front of various home appliance trying to turn them on with their mind.
Your video reminds me of when my children were young. Laura used to cover her eyes and, as she couldn't see us, she was sure she was invisible and could do things that she normally wouldn't get away with. David thought he could fly - thankfully, at the time, we lived in a ground floor flat. Duncan used to dig up the garden whenever he saw a rainbow thinking he'd find a great treasure. He's still keen on digging in the dirt but as an archeologist nowadays. :-D
