I am starting to look for a couple of free but really good gardening interest 'magazines' or blogs to help me make it through the winter. I know some have been shared at different times, but I have lost my bookmarks. Anyone willing to share their gardening reading sites.

Here is one of my weekly gardening fixes local to my area (Western Washington) but I'd love to find others from around the globe that are in the same vane. http://www.valeaston.com/

I found "Carolyn's Shade Gardens" when I was looking for mini hostas. She has some interesting stuff :-D

Henry, Awesome! Always love free gardening reading. Lots of great sites to explore. Will be spending some time this week-end checking out some of the new sites and bookmarking them. It's funny how all my favorite gardening sites lead me down the gardening paths to explore and I return to them often. That's what makes the Stew one of the best.

Stratsmom, wow! Lots of great ideas for shade gardening. I really liked the idea of using a ceramic strawberry jar for the mini hostas. I will spend more time browsing that site as I continue with expanding my own shade garden. Some plants and combinations I hadn't considered that were so eye catching.

Stratsmom, I have communicated with Carolyn's Shade Gardens. She is not open to the public anymore. You only go there by invitation. I am on her list now. I will go there soon. 8) 8)
