so I am very proud of myself!! I got out today and planted my two trees! My dwarf pine, I don't remember the exact name of it, I may look it up when I'm done with this post, and my Weeping cherry blossom. I did take a bit of time to figure out where they would go, because obviously, it's difficult to move them once you've planted them. well I'm pretty happy with where they are and I did this all by myself! I made sure to give some acidic yum yums to my pine, and some yum yums of the tree variety to my cherry blossom! So here's to hoping they thrive!! Here is my pine tree all planted! I did give it mulch mostly because it's going to get cold again tonight and the next few weeks, but I don't think I'll mulch it after that (not really sure if it's needed or not but figured I'd help protect the roots since it's not established yet) Here is my weeping cherry blossom! I am planning on having like a little Fairy garden around it and will definitely continue to mulch it, because it looks pretty lol! but I'm super proud I nearly cried when I finished it! *JOY!!*
I'm sure they will grow up to be very nice looking trees. From the pictures I can already see that your placement in relation to the house is very good. You may be surprised to learn this. But many people don't take into account the future growth of the tree they are planting - But I'm glad to see you did everything perfectly!
Thank you!! It took me a while to figure out where they should go. I am still slightly worried about the little pine. Knowing my luck they lied to me an it is going to grow 50 ft high lol .but yeah I definitely didn't want anything by the house!!
The simple rule to go by here is, think twice, but plant or cut once... You'll be surprised how many people don't even follow this. Beautiful yardwork!!! You did an excellent job today.
Yes I agree, pat on the back is a must now, (considering how much she has accomplished already). But after working so hard outside in the garden all day. Some ice cold lemonade is what I'd make!
