Hi all: for the last 3yrs I have had just one of my miniature Iris come back with this color variation.

Not sure how it did it. But I thought it looked kind of neat. Schreiner's Iris said that if it came back the same way for more than 3yrs. it would be considered a new color variety. Well this year it totally surprised me by blooming this color.
Even the second bud opened to be this same color. Hopefully it will come back next year this same color. I might have a new variety if it does. Now that would be something!

Love that first one. The second one is a lot like Prairie sunset.

The second pic's color is more cream yellow and not so orange. My camera made it look darker for some reason. I was surprised and delighted. Yes, I to can't wait for next year.

Stunning! The first one is such an unusual arrangement of colors, and the second looks good enough to eat. It ought to be named "Peach Ice Cream."
I gotta get me some iris.
