Amazingly our power only flickered once but stayed on thru the whole thing.
It was a fast moving storm and the really bad stuff stayed south of us by just a couple of miles or north a few miles. There is 1.25 inches of rain in my gauge but there in less than 30 minutes.

There have been some tornadoes on the ground south and west of us but it seemed that from Carrollton where I am and north we had the straight line winds, really heavy rain and some smallish hail.

Now there are reports of a tornado on the ground way east of us.

The sun is beginning to show under the edge of the clouds as it sets.

Glad it missed you. Hope it calms down soon for all in the path of the storms.

No, Glenda, this storm is heading straight east from us, basically following I-30 east. And it started from the west, out around Amarillo and Lubbock.

It looks like you are in the clear this time. You may be in for your own version of storms but not the ones that went over us.

Take care Glenda. Hope nothing touches down near you.
During our storm the Tornado warnings went to tornado watches really quickly and sirens were going off all over the area for quite a while.

I'd been wondering how you Texans were doing. I don't usually follow the weather, but have been this week. Hope you do OK Glenda.

Glad things passed you by Glenda.

My Mom grabs her purse, the checkbook, her meds, a portable radio and a flashlight, puts a chair in her closet and sits there until everything is quiet again.

Randy was out being a storm spotter the whole time. Amanda is terrified of storms, she hid in her room at her computer with her headset on so she couldn't hear what was going on.
Thunderstorms get Rambo upset, he was my shadow all evening.
So I wandered around doing 'piddling little things' pretty much on my own, just to give my mind something to do besides fret.
