So much for our week-end away!!

We set off yesterday and within half an hour the car started to lose power. We turned back, took it to the garage and they fixed the problem cost - £134 plus.

Off we set again and stopped for something to eat on route. When we tried to re-start the car it refused. Waited around for ages hoping it was just the cold affecting it. No chance!! We did manage to get it going, eventually, but it meant yet another trip to the garage - £235 this time!!

Needless to say we can no longer afford to go way so the whole week-end is a write-off.

So no peace from me I'm afraid as I'm going to be at home now. :(

I think it's about time we got rid of this darned car and traded it in for something more reliable don't you?

It's a Renault Kangoo 4x4 EJ. Although I have to admit I have another name for it at the moment. I couldn't possibly tell you what it is though as I'd set my keyboard alight and burn the computer screen. :D

What a disappointment! Just tell yourself it was raining there anyway so you'll go another weekend when the sun is shining. Now, you can get another car for your birthday and it will last a long time. You will think of something to do with this free weekend. dooley

Oh Eileen...I am VERY sorry to hear about that disappointment. It was just terrible...and all those costs. Darn it.
I agree it does sound like that car needs replacing--this must not happen again.

I hate it when that happens...just be thankful it didn't stop along a busy highway or something....

I hope you had a nice Birthday anyway, belated birthday wishes...maybe you can take another weekend trip when you get the problem solved.
