    I keep suet when we had a cow butchered.
    Melted it down and added treats for the birds.

    You threw me off as it looks justlike a soap mold that I use! I always get rendered suet in the fall, too, and ball it up with my gloved fingers and then throw it into a paper bag of bird seed. It works, and the birds love it!

    That sounds good.
    I cook it down and put it into the wire feeder that normal suet comes in.. If it doesnt fit I just chop it .

    It works well.

    Animal rights might not approve...... :-D :-D

    This spring I will plant more black oil sunflowers, and hope to beat the birds to harvest.. Keep them for winter.........

    This is my first year of birding.. Had to think fast.
