LOL, not much. I did some weeding, Richard did some watering and burning some rubbish. I wanted to transplant some irises, but it started raining, not enough to do any good, but enough to make you go inside. I did get 5 gardenia cuttings repotted into bigger containers, and I dug up 7 or 8 chasmere bouquet (clerodendrun bungei) shoots and potted those. They take off so quickly, at first they wilt and then they spring back with a vengance. A very invasive plant if you do not control the shoots, or keep it in a container. But it is very pretty. Well, there's always tomorrow.
accomplishments Oh dear, were we supposed to accomplish something today? Well, I did my blogs, did my writing for a trade magazine and for another website. And then we went to lunch. Spent some time in the swimming pool. That sorta does it. Jan
I worked on the hydraulic wood splitter today and got it ready to go. Will probably start cutting some firewood towards the end of the week. They are saying rain here for the next couple of days.
It was back to work at the office for me on this Monday morning. Trying to get things done up ahead as I am taking 4 days off next week - a conference Tuesday - Thursday and Friday just because who wants to go back to work on a Friday.
Ian and I went to pick up a photocopier from one BT office and tranfer it to another. Then we had a mooch around Ikea and a couple of garden centres, had coffee and headed home to water the plants in the garden. Not very exciting but better than tomorrow is going to be because it's 'clean the whole house day' on Tuesdays.
Gene and I cleaned and washed today and made a trip to Petersburg. Tomorrow we have Dr. appts and a long shopping list. Wannabe
I made rhubarb sauce, cooked the last pumpkin and put the good stuff in the freezer for pies and cookies later, did two loads of laundry and bunches of dishes. Gosh that sounds very uneventful but it was satisfying.
Must be raining there...here too, but no housework will get done by me today. Maybe if I leave it long enough, the health department will come in and shovel it out just to find me.
I have to wear shoes in the house because if I go barefoot, the crunchy stuff on the floors hurts my feet.
Jan you crack me up! The "crunchy stuff on the floors" reminds me of something my mom's friend Loretta said. She said "You can eat off of my floors! There's spaghetti, and peas and cereal..." I also agree with the line abut the health department coming to shovel you out :-D I feel the same way sometimes, especially in the summer. There is way too much to do outside that is a lot more fun than housework! Have a good Tuesday! Deanna :-D
Jan , we were forecast to get rain, but it barely sprinkled this morning. I am hoping for some later today, we need it terribly. If not, I will have to start over with the sprinklers and that is a big job. During the drought it took both of us to get it accomplished.
