I went plant shopping and was amazed that I could find anything besides Pansies this time of year for planting outside. I did pick up a couple indoor plants too.

I found more Sedum Autumn Joy for the front garden. It wasn't getting enough sun at the garden center so it hasn't turned color yet.

On the menu for next springs crop of Swallowtail Butterfly Caterpillars are Fernleaf Dill and Sweet Fennel.

I have been searching for Montauk Daisies and was very surprised to find them now instead of the spring.

I don't know how difficult it will be to keep this Norfolk Island Pine alive for very long but I just had to try.

I haven't had a Peperomia in years, wish it had been labeled as to which one it is.

I found these beauties at Target and couldn't resist, even tho I really am not sure where I am going to put them in the house....small house, large pot plants!

I found three mini-holiday cacti...cactuses...three of these beauties.

Tomorrow is supposed to be close to 70 degrees so the outdoor plants will go into the ground then.

Wow Toni! Great finds! Did you get them from a local nursery or one of the big home improvement stores?
I've been thinking about getting some starts from one of my Aunt's Christmas Cactus... your's make me want to go over there this weekend and ask! They are real beauties!
With winter rapidly approaching, will the one's you will be putting out have enough time to get established before the freezing temps arrive?

I have a plant shopping route that starts at Lowe's, then Home Depot and then Calloway's so yesterdays plants were a mixture. The mini cacti and the herbs were from Calloway's.
I just realized that I forgot to include a photo of the Cyclamen I got there too.

Yeah, I got to thinking about the chance of ice and snow they say we might have next week and figured I will go ahead and keep them in their pots in the backroom until we see what is really going to happen.

I almost stopped by Lowe's the other day to see what plants they had left, but passed on the idea since I figured they'd just have Christmas trees. Maybe it's worth a stop afterall!
That Cyclamen is also a real looker!

Looks like you found a great selection of plants Toni. I hope they all do well for you. Those cacti are great looking. I have two red and two white which are very close to blooming and I'm quite excited. That Pine looks pretty cool too. I hope it stays alive for you for a while and gets nice and big. That Cyclamen is very pretty. I have never seen one like it. It reminds me of candy canes.

Gosh you scooped up lots of bargains Toni. I would love to go plant shopping but we're snowed in and I couldn't plant anything out at this time of year here. :( Once the better weather comes around again though there'll be no stopping me. I hope I can find as lovely a selection as you've managed to pick up. :-D
