This is our 2 rows of tomatoes. Now we started out with some of my smallest plants and worked our way into the bigger plants. Also in the back is our half row of corn.

Next is our row of corn. This is way ahead of the farmers, it is almost knee high. I may be putting in another row, seeing that many of our farmers around here just planted their corn sometime last week. It still should be o.k.

    These are my pumpkins:

At the other end would be my cantaloupes, cuc's, acorn squash, and a few watermelons.

Hubby still wants some peppers to go in and I'll be putting in radishes also.
I also have some backup baby plants ready to go in for those 'just incase something doesn't make it' plants.

Wow, what a fantastic looking beginning crop. Looks like they all really like the nice home you made for them.
Can't wait to see all the progress pictures coming thru the summer. ;)

Is that sandy soil you are planting in? We had sandy soil for 9 1/2 years at our last house and now we have clay...Looks like you will be having a lot of good things to eat at your house..ours is clay with black dirt on top..

Things are really looking-up there. You have lots of stuff planted, and it seems to be progressing prety darn well.

Tell me about your soil, Petunia. Is it plain sand or is there something mixed with it?

I was also wondering if you plan to set up a work table in there for potting and germinating, etc.

That poly tunnel looks ab-fab. Keep up the good work and send more pics as things continue to grow.

Thanks for your comments. I feel like I'm behind on a few of the veges. But then again I had alot on my plate that couldn't be helped.
    Sherry & Sjoerd:
This is sand that I plant in. At one time before we moved here it used to be a wooded area. Many, many trees and stumps have been removed. Leaving me with this sand. This area has been my garden area for the last few years. All I have added to it is rabbit manure. This year, when we tilled, we threw around some ashes from the fireplace, and tilled that in also. Thats what I have this year-sand, ashes, and rabbit manure. So far it seems to work.
Sjoerd, Maybe next year I'll be able to set up a work table with my grow lights, to start out all my little seedlings. It'll depend on what we can mantaine for heat out there. That would be so much easier then starting those seeds in my bedroom by the window.

Ok Petunia. It is a really nice tunnel and I just have the feeling that you are going to enjoy it to bits once you get a handler on how it works.
    You lucky so-n-so! ;)
