I thought it would be nice to post what we like and appreciate about Gardenstew. This should also be helpful for informing guests why this is one of the best places for information while letting them know the high standards of the site.(I recently joined a forum on my health condition but it is very poorly moderated, and the only moderator there is quite publicly rude to members. I won't be going back. I like the fact that it is well moderated. I like the fact that although the main focus is gardening, a lot of other topics are well accepted and members are so supportive to each other. The members are very knowledgable and if they don't know the answer to a question, they usually help find a site that does. there are many other "positives" so come on everyone, lets join in...
Everyone is so friendly, and since they are from all over the place your chances of getting info or finding a friend or trading seeds goes up quite a bit. Great senses of humor without being offensive too, that's a real plus. And it has gnomes.
I love Gardenstew because I can come here and talk "plant" and everyone knows what I'm talking about and CARES! I love Gardenstew because I can share 2 of my favorite things...gardens and photography. I love Gardenstew because I learn something new every day. I love Gardenstew because there are lots of great people here. I love Gardenstew because it's a great site! Thanks Frank!
Quite simply what I love about GardenStew is YOU!!!! We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for all you lovely folks. :-D
I want to second what Eileen has said. People make a community and what a tremendous bunch of folks here: - friendly - helpful - up for a laugh - etc... Also I can't say enough for our moderators who keep everything on track!
I want to 'third' what Eileen said, the members of GardenStew are a great bunch of people from all over the world.
I like the fact that everyone is so friendly and helpful. Not to mention the photos!! I love the pictures of everyone's flowers and kids and pets :-D Everyone is very generous also! Glenda has given me some awesome zinnia seeds, last summer Gloria sent me a really cool daylily and I've gotten many other cool things that I can't remember right now I visit daily, sometimes several times a day just to see what is going on! Since I have found garden stew, I have quit going to some of the other gardening forums I used to visit. Everyone is so nice here and it is just fun to visit..
