It looks like a scotch pine to me. It is a bit hard to tell without seeing the needles a bit better. Normally a scotch pine doesn't get that big here. They die off at about 30 years starting from the bottom going up. I have a whole row of pretty dead ones that need to be taken down.

well, I was at least in the right genus as I was thinking it looked like a pine and that seedling is identical to a pine seedling. Good growing for you!
Unfortunately, after a very hot day (38 °C or 100 °F) my seedling died. I learned my lesson, hot weather will kill seedlings in no time. I will try to germinate more seeds and will be more careful next time:
thats too bad. A well learned lesson (painful) sticks better than anything though to keep a closer eye on the tiny plants. better luck next time, though.
