We have three feeders that we put up in spring and again in the fall. During the summer the nectar ferments within hours, and is dangerous to the hummingbirds. They just have to rely on the flowers then!
Our favorites are glass cylinders, slightly pinched at the "waist" and with a red base. We also have a round glass one, which we like, but it's kind of obvious and doesn't really fit into a garden.

I have one glass feeder in the front and one plastic in the back yard. They are both "jar like" and I prefer the glass one, much easier to clean!!

We were looking at internet pictures the other day and saw a bunch of feeders made to hold pieces of fruit, like half an orange impaled on a spike. "Honey" said he will make something from scraps at work so we can try this fruit thing. Anyone doing that?

I don't have any feeders but see them visiting Zinnias, Coleus, Lantana, Buddleia. Hoping the Cannas I transplanted recently from someone else's yard will bloom this year. I planted a trail of them along the side of the house, to make a good "flight path" between the flowers out front and those in the back.

I only need one :( but would love to need a few more. It is saucer shaped, clear bottom with red snap on top that has a sitting are at each of the 8 feeding stations.

We too make extra hummer juice and keep it in the fridge for them. They are hitting the feeders again, after a month of ignoring them so I am back to cleaning it for them daily. They have been hitting all the plants, I love watching them!

I have two and both are glass with red base. I only get the kind with perches at each station. And they are top fill ones... so much easier (and neater) to fill and clean. I'll never go back to the "regular" kind.

I clean my six out every day now-black bugs. But customer of over 25 years sells me his sugar at cost. They own a grocery store. Washing them out in bucket outside. But buying couple more of tall glass ones. To have ready.
