My first Hibiscus bloom. Both the plants are loaded with buds this year thanks to a wetter spring than last year and the plants are very dense. This red one is the one with leaves that I keep expecting some of our neighbors to start picking and smoking :-D I couldn't hold the camera, ruler and flower at the same time, but it measures almost 10 inches across and the white ones are usually larger.

The Canna are huge now, I really didn't plan for the tall ones to be in the center like that but when you look at it from all sides they are, with the shorter red ones in a circle around them.

I took this the other night in the rain. The sky was casting a strange orange light on everything but it didn't show up in the picture. The Blackeyed Susans, the other peach colored Lilies and some very sad looking dwarf Hollyhocks.

The two pumpkin vines that are twined together from lack of proper space and have reached about 10 feet in length, covered with blossoms, just hope they produce some pumpkins for Nicky and I to enjoy this fall.

Both the Chrysanthemums and the Petunias wintered over right nicely. The petunia is even larger than it was at the height of it's growing last year. I know I should have trimmed back the mums before they bloomed but I like Mums.

I have 4 Grampa Ott Morning Glories planted around the yard, this one happens to have an open bloom today. I know two of them are purple as pictured on the packet, but at least one of them has pink blooms it is climbing up the water gauge post and should be in bloom again this weekend from the looks of it.

That hibiscus is beautiful! Is it a "Lord Baltimore", perchance. That's the one that grows around here that looks kinda 'special'.

It very well could be, they do look alike. I planted them both about 7 years ago and apparently didn't keep the plant tags, but if I remember correctly it was labeled only as a Hardy Hibiscus.

Thanks you all, glad you enjoyed my little tour.
The only sad thing about those hibicus blooms is that they last just one day. But they are pretty while they last.
