My Late wife purchased this plant many years ago. She was told it comes from South Africa and flowers every year. It has never flowered yet. Can anyone identify the plant and tell me whether it should flower or not. If it does flower then why hasn't ours ?
    Thank you.

This looks to me like a trumpet vine although they are native to America, so I can’t be sure. One must not feed trumpet vines, otherwise they will make vigorous growth and no flowers. Just water occasionally.

Could possibly be trumpet vine ! Your climate plays a big part in how soon it will bloom !

Medo, there’s something “red” in the first picture. Could that be a bud?
I enlarged your picture and circled it. 1E458143-E289-45B0-9A88-F68370C042D0.jpeg
