What type of Catepillar Is This?

    Toni...whatever kind it is they are all over the place, huge and nasty looking. One was on top of our car that a bird had already taken a bite of and it dropped...that mess was nasty. This one was taken as I was walking to catch my carpool this morn.

    The caterpillar ends up looking so beautiful as a moth...I haven't seen any of these around our area. I hate it when a moth gets into the house and flys directly to a light that is on and ends its life...does this happen to anyone else?
