I'm looking on ebay right now but I could look on other websites. I'm looking for seeds (I germinate seeds late for some reason). I was looking at wormwood but it said it inhibits the growth of plants near it. Any ideas?
Several of the Artemisia species are also called Wormwood, but commonly it is Artemisia absinthium that is being referred to. The absinthium in the leaves can be toxic to other plants and people for that matter so it should never be ingested. It has been used as a pesticide but do not use it on edible plants. By definition any plant that is prized for it's scent, flavor or medicinal qualities is an herb. So there should be hundreds that you can grow in your zone. Some might have to be grown as annuals if they will not survive your winter. There may also be some of those plants that your state either restricts or has outlawed because of their invasiveness so you need to check on that before getting plants that are too unusual.
Passiflora, passionflower. Don't bother trying to start from seed. Sweet grass, by division. Sweetfern, again by division. Blood root, by rizome. (An autumnal planting) Cyrpripedium.
