My spinach has started to bolt. With the hot weather coming on, what veggies can I plant in this area?

Good morning Carolyn, Thanks you just narrowed it down to kohlrabi, radishes or swiss chard. I have all the rest planted.

How many frost-free days are you looking at left? If it's a full sun area, I'd say plant most anything.

Okra? It loves heat and doesn't need much water. There are dwarf varieties that get only about 4-5' tall. It's decorative, too (ours have been mistaken for hollyhocks!).

Glad I could help. Hope the space churns out a bounty for you.

i've done swiss chard with radish mixed in the rows as markers.

means you get a nice quick crop of radish whilst waiting for the chard.
