Remember that huge puddle on my front lawn? Well it finally got cold enough to freeze and today was a snow day sooo... We tried to make a snowman, but the snow wasn't "sticky enough". We stayed outside most of the day and fun was had by all!
Ooh I remember those days Brings me right back. *sniff* I wish I was a kid again playing in the snow. Great photos Netty, looks like the crew are having tons of fun!
What a great time you all are having. Thanks for the pictures Nettie.Sorry you couldn't make a snowman. Maybe next.
I remember those very things when I was a youngster in Michigan. Looks like so much fun and I'm glad it is you having it and not me. Frank, you are still a youngster.
I wanna play in the snow too!!!! Lovely to meet you and the young 'uns Netty. Looks as though you all thoroughly enjoyed yourselves in your winter wonderland. :-D
That looks like soooo much fun!! We only had a big snow once when I was a child so I really have no idea how much fun it is!! Netty your children are so cute and they look like they were having a blast snowman or not!! Thanks for sharing your pics with us!!
I have 3 worn out kids! My youngest was ready for bed at 5 pm! The older 2 have tons of blisters on their feet from their skates...but they both agreed it was worth it!
Aww, just look at those rosy cheeks, what a blast they were having. Okay, I need to put on another sweater now.
How great that your giant puddle came in so handy. You all obviously had a blast. Your kids are cuties. 8)
My feet are OK Pondlady! I actually didn't get to skate...my daughter had to wear MY skates because she had outgrown hers.(She's 12 and wears the same size as me!) But I shoveled the rink off, and the walks and decks so I was a little worn out too! They want to go out skating again after school today so I'll have to shovel the rink again as we got more snow last night.
We did the same when I was a kid. If Spring Lake didn't freeze (just outside our back door), my dad flooded the yard so we could skate. We were outside daily playing hockey. There were three other kids in the neighborhood, so our hockey was a bit constrained and my brother was a baby, so out of the hockey picture. I still have my skates. Oops, no I don't. Katrina got 'em. But I DID have them for 50 years.
