Looks like insect damage, leaf hoppers or spider-mites maybe. As I do not grow veggies it is only a guess. Is there any evidence of insects under the leaves?

Donna, just pick those leaves off. I have a couple that look like that and it looks like sun damage/frost damage. They are just a little burned. Mine is from it being too cool and had moisture on them at nighttime, I think. But I don't think you have anything to worry over. :-D

Jerry, I looked at leaves with a magnifing glass. Saw no insects or webs. :sete_079:

Carolyn, We have been having lots of rain so I think you are right. Made me feel better. :-D

I get the same kind of damage with my tomato plants at times. I pinch off the affected leaves and the rest of the plant does just fine.
