Got a lot of work done today. Went to the greenhouse and bought some plants to go into pots that will set on the retaining wall. Also got a truckload of bulk black mulch. That was a full yard for $35. Got all but one trailer load spread and will finish up the rest of it tomorrow. The plants were all on sale. Have planted them, but want to let them set in the shade for a couple of days to perk up before moving them to the wall. Will post some pics when it's all done.

You busy bee! The bark mulch sounds like a bargain, plenty of hard graft though getting that spread around.

Oh I'm looking forward to seeing your photographs of the new plants. I do love to see what others buy for their garden - not that I'm nosey you understand!! :p

Great deal on the mulch Capt! I want to get a load of black mulch too and wondered how much it would cost.

There is one place that has the brown mulch for $25 a yard, but most places want $35 for the black. This was a fine shred so it will pack together a lot better than the course.

Sounds like you are busy...I hope your dirt is better than what we bought..it has so------------many weeds in it. Now I have mustard growing in my flower beds wherever I used it to fill in spots. Plus a lot of other weeds and crabgrass....and I had them pretty good before that.
