Hi I live in New Brunswick. We also have plenty of snow! If you are planting from seeds then you will have to start them about eight weeks before you plan to set them out in the garden. I will be starting mine the first of next week. For me, my target date to plant out is the first week of June and I am also zone 5. If you are buying the plants your planting time to put them in the garden would be approximately the same.
