    Lily's (Mother's day gift)
Wondering when I should put them in the ground and if I cut the tops off.

Beautiful Lilies :-D nice mom's day gift.

I plant mine in full bloom, and just let the flowers fade naturally.
give them plenty to drink when you plant. :)

Let the foliage die back before cutting them down,
that's how they feed the bulbs for next year. ;)

Thanks Zuzu I forgot to had a ?. Each Lily comes with 4 piece's. Can I and should I plant them apart from one another and how far apart? I thought I would mix them together.

Ah, well, :) that becomes a bit more complicated
as you'll have to disturb the roots quite a lot more to separate them.

I'd tip the plants out of the pots and have a look at the roots,
if you think that you can tease the roots apart now and replant them
without doing too much damage, then go for it. :-D
Lily roots are pretty brittle, so it will take some delicate handling.

But, if the roots are really entwined and you really want to separate the bulbs,
it might be smartest to let them remain in the pots until the plants go dormant,
then you can replant each bulb quite easily.

I often buy pots with several bulbs growing
(when I find them on sale after Easter or Mom's day ;))
generally, I just plant them in a single root ball, I like the clustered look.

Zuzu thank you for your help and info. I'm going to keep them together can always buy more later. Better to be safe then sorry. The Rosebush area that's been stared would look good with the lily's don't u think :-? ? It gets morning and some late afternoon sun.
