Zone 8-9, on Coast of Washington, freezes are over, frosts oddly had a couple least few days but only in shade.

I have some flowers I am gonna grow for both beauty and attracting insects. Can someone tell me which ones I can start outside early? Baswically the last "frost" is done here although we have some frost in the shade the last few days.

    I am gonna plant these:
    Snapdragons
    Celosia
    Bells of Ireland
    Butterfly weed
    Gaillardia
    Shasta Daisy

All of them say the same thing so I am at aloss as to what I can plant early if anything.

I'm jealous...I still have a foot of snow on the ground. I would love to even see the dirt!!! Have fun planting.

Thanks for the reminder about Snapdragans.

    A perennial.

    Beautiful flowers.

    Hardy to 55 apparently.

Oh you are so lucky! Here in western North Carolina we can get frost right up until Mother's Day in May! I have to get my "dirt fix" by starting my plants indoors. Have fun!

That is amazing that your frosts are over. In the eastern part of Texas we will have frost till March 20th or so. Maybe a late Easter frost in early April.
