Hello everybody. Are you all well and happy? Anything special going on out there? I've lost touch with most of what's going on here because of our very busy schedule for the last weeks. Maybe I'll get back to normal some time in the middle of next month. The week-end before last our girls were at a riding week-end so my husband and I spent some time visiting people we haven't seen for ages. That was fun. Then I had to prepare for a horse-and-carriage-do which was last week-end. I left on Thursday and came home late Sunday evening and I'm still a bit shell-shocked and worn-out by the experience. We didn't do very well but we passed all three classes, which was a surprise. I was fully prepared to be eliminated in the marathon class at least, but we came in with five minutes to go, so we now have one approved do to brag about. This week is going to be spent trying to tidy up everything that has been floating about for the last two weeks, and help my horse minder prepare for her jumping do this week-end. Next week might be a bit easier for us, but there's a meeting at school three nights in a row and we have to attend them all. *sigh* So I'm here, reading and trying to keep track, but haven't had the time to do much posting. Sorry. Hugs for you all!
All well and happy in my house, not nearly so busy as you have been tho. I don't think I could take all that activity anymore, I have gotten lazy as I got older. Congrats on passing the marathon class, doesn't matter how much time was left as long as you got there before the buzzer sounded.
Many congratulations on passing all three classes Droopy. You must be chuffed to bits. :-D We've certainly been missing you around here on a regular basis so it's lovely to hear how you've been getting along over the last few weeks.
Thank you both. Toni, I'm also getting too old for all that activity. I think I shall have to spend a day on the sofa or something to recharge. I'll be along to pester you more regularly soon I hope. I don't recall being so busy last year. *sigh* Must be age catching up with me.
Happy to hear from you Droopy! I've had a very busy summer too, but have finally had a quieter week now that soccer is over and back to school is getting closer. It sure can wear you down!!
You've been a busy one! Congrats on your accomplishments and it's good to hear that you are recuperating. What a busy bee you are. Rest up and re-charge now. All that talk of being tired, etc. tempts me to say, "Get off the stove, grandma--you're too old to ride the range". But I wouldn't do that, of course.
Hi Droopy I'm fine here.I was missing you as I always do.I will be missing from here soon. I will be back in Cold Springs.I'm not sure how long.
Hi Droopy. It sounds like you haven't had a minute to sit still since before your vacation. Congrats on your wins -- I am not familiar with the horse and carriage competition but it sounds exciting and suspenseful.
Hello all. It's so good to see you. I just found out that we're going to have another three or four busy weeks before we might be able to let our shoulders down for a bit. This is not what I intended, but there you go. I'm sort of glad the garden is near bloom-less now since I wouldn't have time to enjoy it anyway. I'm beginning to look forward to winter! Silly me.
Hello Droopy Its been a busy summer. We just got internet back. so I haven't been on since sometime Sunday. Netty wrote: "now that soccer is over" Our soccer for my daughter has just begun. with school starting up soon, I may be able to post more often, and things should slow down a bit. Here, we didn't have much of a summer per say, just not alot of warm weather and here its over already and it doesn't even seem like its begun (weather wise). Well, do keep us updated and keep in touch when your finished with these next few weeks.
(( ))ROARRR....... Toni, you're a real card! pssssssst (whispering VERRRY softly)...I hope that Droopy doesn't take offence. She's really not old at all y'know.
Hello, petunia, nice to see you. I'm glad I'm not the only one who is looking forward to slower times. Sjoerd, I may not be that old, but right now I feel a hundred or more.
